About Central Valley Forestry Corps.

As wildfires continue to devastate California annually, the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board, Reedley College and the Local Conservation Corps have partnered to create The Central Valley Forestry Corps- a No Cost training program that will prepare an untapped workforce within the Central Valley to assist in the removal of 129-million dead trees.

The Central Valley Forestry Corps has developed a 20-week Training Program that will prepare you for a career in Forestry

  • Phase 1 – 4 weeks
    • Introduction to Forestry at the Local Conservation Corps in Fresno
  • Phase 2 – 8 weeks
    • Integrated Fuels Management Program, Reedley College
  • Phase 3 – 8 weeks
    • Paid Work Experience, location TBD

Minimum requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be drug-free (able to pass a drug screen)
  • Must be physically fit for the job
